There is no God.
There is only the silence of an indifferent universe, and the human mind that cannot bear to leave that silence unanswered. So humanity reaches into nothingness, gives it a name, grants it a face, and kneels before the very emptiness it has dressed in divinity.
We turn our fear into faith, our ignorance into revelation, and our desire for meaning into an eternal truth. We build heavens above us because we cannot accept the ground beneath us. We invent an eternity because we are terrified of the finite, and call it salvation because the alternative is to admit that existence owes us nothing.
Yet the universe does not speak, the stars do not listen, and the void does not become sacred simply because we whisper prayers into it. God was never found within the nothingness. God was placed there by humanity, a reflection of its own longing, an answer fabricated for a question that may never have had an answer.
And perhaps the greatest illusion was never the existence of a god, but the belief that the nothingness needed to become something at all.
